Some old ones, and a few new ones. These are based on traditional ceremonial face paints used by Xhosa and Zulu (to name a few) tribes. I've seen African cuisine restaurants paint patrons' faces with swirls and more colours. I've used 2 colours; one for lighter and one for darker skin. These designs are simple and meant to represent natural pigments available.
